Best Wedding Photography Of 2021

Talk about flipping a switch!  If we look back at the beginning of the year, we were in season three of lockdown and – quite frankly – Mrs. Smyth was sick of the sight of me.  Then we trundled into the spring, where it was great to be back out as a wedding photographer again, but not quite there.  Then, at the height of all anticipation, the Summer arrives and it suddenly seemed like every wedding to have ever happened in the history of mankind was squeezed into the last six months of the year!

Not that I am complaining, of course.  I’ve loved being back out there and spending so much time with fun people who know how to have a damn good time.  So much good time tends to take it’s toll though, and while I was filled with vibrant energy, even after a run of weddings, the odd day off that I did have reminded me that I am a bloke in his mid-30s.  It’s like that old joke – it’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Darting back and forth to different corners of the Midlands has seen me photographing at barnsmanor houses, tipis, gardens and somewhere that, legally, I’m not allowed to tell you about.  I’m not even sure I’m allowed to tell you that I’m not allowed to tell you.  Regardless of that, all of those weddings have one thing in common – every one of my clients, along with their family and friends, are awesome!  Capturing your wedding day as it happens whilst also finding some time to get some epic portraits is my jam, and I am lucky enough to work with some wonderful couples, suppliers and venues to make these days even more fun.

Below is a little taster of some of my favourite wedding photos from this year.  If you’re looking for a photographer for your wedding, then all you need to do is drop me a line.
