Brockencote Hall Wedding Photography

When it comes to my job, the nature of the beast dictates that I get to travel far and wide, just so I can spend the day with some fun people. Sometimes though – just sometimes – I get to photograph a wedding at a venue close to where I live. Don’t get me wrong: that is not the reason why I loved being Danika & James’s wedding photographer at Brockencote Hall so much, but I would be lying if I denied the fact that I did enjoy having an extra hour in bed that morning.

Brockencote Hall is a stunning country manor house in the village of Chaddesley Corbett (for those not in the know, it’s pretty much the halfway point between Bromsgrove and Kidderminster). With 70 acres of Worcestershire parklands to play with, which includes a scenic lake, it’s really easy to see why Danika & James fell in love with this venue, and why all the appointments to view other venues were cancelled rather quickly!

I rocked up to find the Bridal squad being readied by the hair and makeup dream team of Samantha Louise and Gemma Clarke. No alcohol had been consumed before my arrival, but it wasn’t long before the bubbles started being consumed [insert tired old line about how “It’s five o’clock somewhere!”]. Despite the alcohol consumption (which definitely was not the result of this wedding photographer encouraging such an act), and a bit of dodgy dancing by the Chief Bridesmaid, the atmosphere that morning was so chilled, but incredibly fun!

With the girls enjoying their morning, I popped out occasionally to witness suppliers and venue working hard together like a well-oiled machine. The Wedding House did an amazing job styling, flowers were delivered by Ashtree Floral DesignsThe Fluffy Cake Company put in place their work of art, all while Staci of Brockencote Hall worked hard ensuring that everything was perfect for the Bride & Groom. Amazon wished that they had a production line so efficient!

I went back upstairs as the finishing touches were being applied before Danika slipped into her dress from The Bridal Room, Broadway. With James and guests awaiting, we made our way down for the ceremony, but not before stopping by THAT window for a quick photo.

With the legal formalities complete, we all went outside to throw confetti before I took the new Mr. & Mrs. out onto the grounds of Brockencote Hall. Danika & James really wanted to make sure that we took full advantage of the stunning outdoors, and these two proved to be absolute naturals in front of the camera. We laughed our asses off the whole time and as a result, we got some absolute bangers for the collection.

Back inside, Christian Fletcher was ensuring that everyone was entertained during the drinks reception (that’s right: Fletch appears in yet another Blog post on this website – I swear that guy is stalking me!). Friends and family caught up enjoying each other’s company, and there may have been a shot or two as well!

It wasn’t too long before we were all called in for the wedding breakfast and treated to a bit of a show. Along with hoodwinking guests with his silky magic skills, Christian was also Danika & James’s gracious host for the day. Fletch got everybody buzzing as the important people made their way into the room, and after a delicious meal, he was back with one final trick before the speeches commenced.

As I’m sure you know by now, I do love a silhouette. With that said, after the speeches were done, I took Danika & James outside one last time to the fountain before we headed back inside for the traditional cake cut and first dance.

Making sure that the dance floor stayed rocking all night was Ollie Clarke. Everyone was obviously well up to shake what their momma’s gave them, and Ollie had his audience swinging off the chandelier from first to last. Having guests who know how to party is half the battle, and having a top DJ like Ollie to keep that dance floor jumping is the other half!

Spending the day with Danika, James and all of their loved ones at Brockencote Hall was an absolute joy, and I’m sure you can see from the photos how much everyone enjoyed themselves.

But I know why you’ve made it down this far into the Blog. You’re here for the slideshow, aren’t you? Well, crank up the volume and enjoy!
